Google Maps becomes a paid service

American Internet Corporation Google has made a paid subscription on Google Maps. This service of the search giant was provided free of charge since 2005, and since July 16, 2018 users should pay $ 200 monthly to access the cartographic Internet resource.

A fixed price of $ 200 will be valid for representatives of large business organizations, corporations, and enterprises. For such users, the Internet Corporation has developed several packages of user-friendly applications within the framework of the Google Maps single platform, which includes 18 programs from three directions: Maps, Places, and Routes.

The platform created by top IT specialists corresponds to the interests of Internet developers and large companies, as it provides for the availability and application of API services. In addition, you can connect to it only by paying $ 200. For other categories of users, developers have provided a free application package as a basic, but with some optional restrictions.

This set of applications will be enough for users who do not use cartographic services in their professional activities. To access the paid service, software developers will need to enter a special key and have their payment profile on the Cloud Platform.

Thus, the Internet audience has only two options: either to make a monthly contribution, or use the service for free, but with some limited functions. The funds sent to Google’s account from users, the Internet giant plans to send for further development and improvement of cartographic services.
